Beijing City Private Day Tour Directions:
Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and all over his head at The Olympic Green, Olympic Park built for the Beijing Summer Olympics 2008. Visit the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest). The stadium was the main track and soccer, and a finalist for the Summer Olympics of 2008 and the opening and closing. The structure of the industry and the roof-shaped bowl is the masterpiece of the project. It is designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The peculiarity of the structure is the “cushion” that can fill the spaces in the building facade to regulate wind and rain and sun. It can accommodate 91,000 visitors.

Then continue to visit the Cube National Aquatics Center (Water) in the vicinity. The National Aquatics Center is the only major Olympic venue, which will be built through donations from compatriots from Hong Kong and Macau. It has an area of 50,000 square meters with a capacity of 17,000. The entire project will cost approximately U.S. $ 100 million. The center will be for swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo games during the 2008 Olympic Games used. After the Games, the center turns into a large leisure water to the public. It is dubbed “cubes” because of its semi-transparent bubble on the surface with a shape very similar to the structure of “H2O spread.

After lunch, proceed to visit the 798 Art Zone, Beijing, Greenwich Village or Soho, or even 798 Art District or Factory 798, a portion of the Dashanzi, in the Chaoyang District Beijing considers a community of artists ‘class called. It is in 50 years, was decommissioned military-industrial complex of unique architectural style.

Finally, take the National Theater. The new egg-shaped theater is made by French architect Paul Andreu, designer of the terminal Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. The National Grand Theater, west of Tian’anmen Square in central Beijing, a huge dome of glass and titanium-like structure surrounded by water. The new National Theater of three rooms is incorporated into the egg together. The 2.68 billion yuan (328 million euros) Theater will include 6,000 people. It’s like the egg in her sweet looking, translucent exterior and oval shape. With modernity, it is in striking contrast with the building of the Stalinist Great Hall of the People and the golden roofs of the Forbidden City. More than 16,000 cubic meters of water, enough to fill up 42 Olympic swimming pools is in the lake, where the floating eggs are discarded. ”

After the tour, for a whole day, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel anywhere in Beijing.

After lunch, go to the Badaling Great Wall, which runs about 40 minutes. Badaling section is the best known and best-preserved wall. It is located 100 miles northwest of Beijing. When you reach the highest point and want to have an overview of this section of the cable car of Great Wall is a good choice (optional). Bona visit the jade factory and learn about stone carving in China. After the visit, transfer to your hotel located in Midtown in Beijing.

Badaling Great Wall
1. Badaling Great Wall is well preserved wall of the Ming dynasty, with the original appearance. Now it is divided into two sections – east and west starting at the Badaling Pass and Gate. Most people prefer to climb in the eastern part, where you find the highest tower.
2. Some tourists choose not to Badaling Great Wall. They think Badaling Great Wall is too touristy! “Tourity” is now a bad word to each warehouse tour. But why is it too touristy? It is “too touristy” because Badaling Great Wall is the largest of the five sections of the Great Wall near Beijing.
3. Great Wall at Badaling is worth on the itinerary of hiking Great Wall below. Your Badaling Great Wall hike can easily be adapted to include the Ming Tombs Summer Palace, or a day trip.
Metro Palace (Dingling – Ming Tombs)
1. The resting place for one of the 13 graves of the 16 Ming emperors Dyasty. The 1st, 2nd and 7 Emperor buried in various places. This site was chosen for its location and good feng shui.
2. Some people think the Ming Tombs are less interesting and nothing to see. Some believe that the Ming tombs are worth seeing, a real milestone. In fact, among the 13 Ming tombs are only two tombs open to the public: Dingling (underground palace) and Changling. Dingling is interesting because it is the grave dug with only one underground palace. Thus, the term “visit the Tombs of the Ming is not the correct term. You should know if you Dingling (Underground Palace) and Changling.
3. The beauty of buildings and artifacts are quite surprising, because there’s nothing like it in the West. Take time to walk around the hill and a good overview of the site.
4. This is a good site for several reasons. First, it is outside Beijing, so you get a chance to leave the city and a little landscape. Secondly, it is relatively close to the wall, so you see both in one day.
Shopping on the Road
We attribute a shopping center on the tour. Souvenir shops in China have a very bad reputation on the Internet. In reality, things are not as bad as it is. The shopping stops are nice places to relax and at the same time to enjoy some time to familiarize themselves with local products and create more jobs for local people. The mall is not mandatory.

Tour itinerary:
Pick up at your hotel at 8.00 clock. First part of the Underground Palace (Dingling part of the complex of tombs of the Ming Dynasty). By Yongle, 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty were buried in this area. Dingling visit the grave of Emperor Wanli, who dug up is the only one of the tombs of the Ming Dynasty have been to.

After lunch, continue on Mutianyu Great Wall, which lasts about an hour. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings – dense woods and meadows of rich colors change with the seasons of the year. Great Wall winds over 1000 meters on the crest of a hill before diving down sharply and forming a triangle known as the Ox-Horn Wall, two unique features of this section are the double battlements and branch walls in almost every corner area. After the visit, transfer to your hotel in downtown Beijing.

Booking Note
Mutianyu Great Wall
1. There are 20 towers (from right to left) numbered on the Mutianyu Great Wall winds its way along the ridge for approximately 3000 meters. So the towers at Mutianyu Great Wall are distributed at frequent intervals. There are three ways to access the Great Wall:
1) walk to the Great Wall, on the stone steps (like a walk in the mountains – 40 minutes walk) – at 10 Watchtower
2) As the cable car to the Great Wall, the 14 Watch Tower
3) On a chairlift to the Great Wall – a watch-6
2. If you use the cable car, walk to the left side of the wall, which is the most beautiful. This section is mostly downhill and you get to run on the chairlift and the stations. The race is run fairly safe and have fun. People will usually choose the cable car and slide down.
3. It is usually takes about 1 hour and half to the wall and normal wall Walking takes about 2 hours.
Note: After a tour on the wall you can walk down the hill, or by cable or by cable car or sled up the hill.
4. You can pack your own water and fruit, but you can buy food and drinks. There are several vendors selling dried fruit, and drinks around the tickets. You can also drink on the wall.
5. Please pay by wire, or lift or slide on the spot, since they are optional.
Metro Palace (Dingling – Ming Tombs)
1. The resting place of one of the 13 graves of the 16 Ming emperors Dyasty. Emperor on the 1st, 2nd and 7 are buried in different places. This site was chosen for the site and its desire Feng Shui.
2. Some people think Ming Tombs are less interesting and nothing to see. Some believe that the Ming Tombs are worth a visit, a real historic landmark. In fact, among the 13 Ming tombs are only two graves to the public: Dingling (underground palace) and Changling. Dingling is interesting because it is the only grave carved with an underground palace. Therefore, the term “visit the Ming Tombs” is not an exact phrase. You need to know when you go Dingling (underground palace) and Changling.
3. The beauty of the buildings and artefacts are quite surprising, since there is nothing like it in the West. Take a little “more time to walk around the hill and a good look at the site.
4. This is a good site for many reasons. First, it is from Beijing, to be able to leave the city and see a little “country. Secondly, it is relatively close to the wall, so as to see both in one day.
Shopping
We organize a shopping center during the tour. Chinese souvenir shops have a very bad reputation on the Internet. In reality, things are not as bad as it is. The shopping stops are nice places to relax and at the same time, use little time to familiarize themselves with local products and help create more jobs for local people. Twig similar structure and bowl-shaped roof are the masterpiece of the project. It was designed by Herzog and deMeuron.

Then go to the National Aquatics Center (the Water Cube) from its exterior (If you want to go inside the center, please pay the entry fee on your behalf). The National Swimming Center is an important Olympic which is built by donations from compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao. It ‘called “cube” because of its semi-transparent “bubbles” scattered across its surface with a shape very similar to the structure of “H2O”.

Then, go to visit 798 Art Zone, or Factory 798, Beijing’s “Greenwich Village” or “Soho”, a part of Dashanzi in Chaoyang District of Beijing, which has a rich community of artist. Located in one of 50 years of service with a military factory complex functional Bauhaus-influenced design.

798 Factory is one of several structures within a complex formerly known as Joint Factory 718. The factory was originally built startng from campaign 1954. At the height of the effort of construction, more than 100 East German foreign experts have worked on the project. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, sub-factories had ceased production. Now, many artists and organizations have set up studios or offices in the area.

In the gallery space 798, the old Maoist slogans are visible on the ceiling arches.

One of the tools in front of the old machine to the area of contemporary art, a seminar before.

Some of the workshops are still operating on a small scale. But people are not allowed to enter

There are a number of art exhibitions in the lab-processed in the factory showroom 798

Out some of the galleries and spaces in the Factory 798 Avant, there are many statues and abstract-garde.

The first large factory town 719 (then divided into more manageable components, such as sub-factories 706, 707, 751, 761, 797 and 798) once had its own steam locomotives.

After lunch at Restaurant Baguobuyi, head to the Area Shichahai – the old part of Beijing.

With the help of your guide speaking Italian in the courtyard, there will be a detailed explanation of the old courtyard (siheyuan) – its history, its structure, its Fengshui, Chinese culture and its TRADITIONA involved. The picture below tells you what you will see in part during the hours around a courtyard.

1. This courtyard is a private family Zhu. It can be dated to the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644), and is also one of the most complete of the courtyards in Beijing.

First let’s look at its main gate of the Ming Dynasty and high steps. In feudal society the number of passes and hexagonal poles protruding from the upper beam were strictly regulated as a symbol of social rank. You can find the 4 steps leading to the main gate, and the 4-pole protruding from the upper beams, indicating the owner was a 3-ranking military officer at the time. The gate is painted crimson door knockers copper. The gate is located at the southeast corner of the courtyard built according to Fengshui.

2. Because the owner was an army officer, not a civil servant? The pillars of stone (Menduni) are an indication of the position and the richness of the ancient inhabitants of an old courtyard house in Beijing Hutong. If the stone pillars were circular, then the landlord was an army officer. If square, the guest was a civil servant. So the host of the Family Zhu was an army officer.

Posterior part of the pillars of stone are set at the turn of the gate or keep the door and serve as the central axis.

3. Entering the gate, there is a wall screen to protect the house from outsiders’view for privacy. Superstition says that also protects the house from evil spirits. I remember both the door and the wall of the screen are in the southeast corner of the courtyard. Turn left, you enter the courtyard of the old courtyard.

4. The provision of 300 years old courtyard

5. The building located north and south is considered the main house. The main house receives more sunlight, thus serving as the living room and bedroom of the owner or head of the family.

6. West side rooms get less sun, and serve as rooms for the older children or less important members of the family. Now the descendants still live in the rooms of the courtyard to the west. You can see the rooms from outside Western Europe.

7. Eastern side rooms to receive the second in less sunlight, and serve as chambers for children younger or less important members of the family. Now most of the rooms are vacant eatern showroom. Eastern Europe is still one of the rooms now used as a dining kitchen.

8. The rooms in front (or rooms south side). The rooms facing south receives less sunlight, and usually serve as a reception room and the servants ‘quarters’, or where the family gathered to relax, eat or study.

After visiting the old courtyard, take a 20 minute drive pedicab zig-zag through the hutongs, or alleys and narrow. Two people share a rickshaw. Is not supposed to tip the driver pedicab because the cost of the tour includes the tip.

Drop off at the Lingotto, the Silver Bridge (Yinding Bridge), a narrow channel joining Qianhai Lake and Lake Houhai, the hub of the surrounding area with Shichhai quiet hutong. Walking along the Xiejia Yandai (tobacco pipe Lean Street), a picturesque hutong 800 years, is situated north of Yinding Bridge between Qianhai and Houhai and the south of the Drum Tower, used to be well known for the sellers of long-stemmed pipes , hence the name.

Growing, 67 feet and two stories high Drum Tower built in 1420 is sure to bring back the old Beijing, seeing the large drum tower with a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding communities of hutong and siheyuan – existing traditional courtyards in Beijing.

Back to your hotel in central Beijing, after half-day tour.

Optional add-on:
If you are interested in Chinese culture of tea after the tour day, they moved to a nice tea market in central Beijing. See you in a show of tea and learn how to conduct your own tea ritual Kung Fu. Knowledge of tea, selection of teas, steeping and sipping will be explained. After a simple tea ceremony, you are free on their own in choosing your favorite tea, teapots and tea cups.
