1. Badaling Great Wall is well preserved wall of the Ming dynasty, with the original appearance. Now it is divided into two sections – east and west starting at the Badaling Pass and Gate. Most people prefer to climb in the eastern part, where you find the highest tower.
2. Some tourists choose not to Badaling Great Wall. They think Badaling Great Wall is too touristy! “Tourity” is now a bad word to each warehouse tour. But why is it too touristy? It is “too touristy” because Badaling Great Wall is the largest of the five sections of the Great Wall near Beijing.
3. Great Wall at Badaling is worth on the itinerary of hiking Great Wall below. Your Badaling Great Wall hike can easily be adapted to include the Ming Tombs Summer Palace, or a day trip.
Metro Palace (Dingling – Ming Tombs)
1. The resting place for one of the 13 graves of the 16 Ming emperors Dyasty. The 1st, 2nd and 7 Emperor buried in various places. This site was chosen for its location and good feng shui.
2. Some people think the Ming Tombs are less interesting and nothing to see. Some believe that the Ming tombs are worth seeing, a real milestone. In fact, among the 13 Ming tombs are only two tombs open to the public: Dingling (underground palace) and Changling. Dingling is interesting because it is the grave dug with only one underground palace. Thus, the term “visit the Tombs of the Ming is not the correct term. You should know if you Dingling (Underground Palace) and Changling.
3. The beauty of buildings and artifacts are quite surprising, because there’s nothing like it in the West. Take time to walk around the hill and a good overview of the site.
4. This is a good site for several reasons. First, it is outside Beijing, so you get a chance to leave the city and a little landscape. Secondly, it is relatively close to the wall, so you see both in one day.
Shopping on the Road
We attribute a shopping center on the tour. Souvenir shops in China have a very bad reputation on the Internet. In reality, things are not as bad as it is. The shopping stops are nice places to relax and at the same time to enjoy some time to familiarize themselves with local products and create more jobs for local people. The mall is not mandatory.

Includes:
1.Private air conditioned vehicles
Lunch 2.Chinese listed
3.Entrance taxes Badaling Great Wall and Underground Palace (dinging) – part of the Ming Tombs complex
4.Englsih Guide
5.The above transfer is customized for you, your family or your friends exclusively. No other travelers will join your group.
Exclusion:
Visit the nest National Stadium (Bird’s) from its outside (if you like to go inside the stadium, please pay the entry fee on your behalf). Twig similar structure and bowl-shaped roof are the masterpiece of the project. It was designed by Herzog and deMeuron.

Then go to the National Aquatics Center (the Water Cube) from its exterior (If you want to go inside the center, please pay the entry fee on your behalf). The National Swimming Center is an important Olympic which is built by donations from compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao. It ‘called “cube” because of its semi-transparent “bubbles” scattered across its surface with a shape very similar to the structure of “H2O”.

Then, go to visit 798 Art Zone, or Factory 798, Beijing’s “Greenwich Village” or “Soho”, a part of Dashanzi in Chaoyang District of Beijing, which has a rich community of artist. Located in one of 50 years of service with a military factory complex functional Bauhaus-influenced design.

798 Factory is one of several structures within a complex formerly known as Joint Factory 718. The factory was originally built startng from campaign 1954. At the height of the effort of construction, more than 100 East German foreign experts have worked on the project. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, sub-factories had ceased production. Now, many artists and organizations have set up studios or offices in the area.

In the gallery space 798, the old Maoist slogans are visible on the ceiling arches.

One of the tools in front of the old machine to the area of contemporary art, a seminar before.

Some of the workshops are still operating on a small scale. But people are not allowed to enter

There are a number of art exhibitions in the lab-processed in the factory showroom 798

Out some of the galleries and spaces in the Factory 798 Avant, there are many statues and abstract-garde.

The first large factory town 719 (then divided into more manageable components, such as sub-factories 706, 707, 751, 761, 797 and 798) once had its own steam locomotives.

After lunch at Restaurant Baguobuyi, head to the Area Shichahai – the old part of Beijing.

With the help of your guide speaking Italian in the courtyard, there will be a detailed explanation of the old courtyard (siheyuan) – its history, its structure, its Fengshui, Chinese culture and its TRADITIONA involved. The picture below tells you what you will see in part during the hours around a courtyard.

1. This courtyard is a private family Zhu. It can be dated to the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644), and is also one of the most complete of the courtyards in Beijing.

First let’s look at its main gate of the Ming Dynasty and high steps. In feudal society the number of passes and hexagonal poles protruding from the upper beam were strictly regulated as a symbol of social rank. You can find the 4 steps leading to the main gate, and the 4-pole protruding from the upper beams, indicating the owner was a 3-ranking military officer at the time. The gate is painted crimson door knockers copper. The gate is located at the southeast corner of the courtyard built according to Fengshui.

2. Because the owner was an army officer, not a civil servant? The pillars of stone (Menduni) are an indication of the position and the richness of the ancient inhabitants of an old courtyard house in Beijing Hutong. If the stone pillars were circular, then the landlord was an army officer. If square, the guest was a civil servant. So the host of the Family Zhu was an army officer.

Posterior part of the pillars of stone are set at the turn of the gate or keep the door and serve as the central axis.

3. Entering the gate, there is a wall screen to protect the house from outsiders’view for privacy. Superstition says that also protects the house from evil spirits. I remember both the door and the wall of the screen are in the southeast corner of the courtyard. Turn left, you enter the courtyard of the old courtyard.

4. The provision of 300 years old courtyard

5. The building located north and south is considered the main house. The main house receives more sunlight, thus serving as the living room and bedroom of the owner or head of the family.

6. West side rooms get less sun, and serve as rooms for the older children or less important members of the family. Now the descendants still live in the rooms of the courtyard to the west. You can see the rooms from outside Western Europe.

7. Eastern side rooms to receive the second in less sunlight, and serve as chambers for children younger or less important members of the family. Now most of the rooms are vacant eatern showroom. Eastern Europe is still one of the rooms now used as a dining kitchen.

8. The rooms in front (or rooms south side). The rooms facing south receives less sunlight, and usually serve as a reception room and the servants ‘quarters’, or where the family gathered to relax, eat or study.

After visiting the old courtyard, take a 20 minute drive pedicab zig-zag through the hutongs, or alleys and narrow. Two people share a rickshaw. Is not supposed to tip the driver pedicab because the cost of the tour includes the tip.

Drop off at the Lingotto, the Silver Bridge (Yinding Bridge), a narrow channel joining Qianhai Lake and Lake Houhai, the hub of the surrounding area with Shichhai quiet hutong. Walking along the Xiejia Yandai (tobacco pipe Lean Street), a picturesque hutong 800 years, is situated north of Yinding Bridge between Qianhai and Houhai and the south of the Drum Tower, used to be well known for the sellers of long-stemmed pipes , hence the name.

Growing, 67 feet and two stories high Drum Tower built in 1420 is sure to bring back the old Beijing, seeing the large drum tower with a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding communities of hutong and siheyuan – existing traditional courtyards in Beijing.

Back to your hotel in central Beijing, after half-day tour.

Optional add-on:
If you are interested in Chinese culture of tea after the tour day, they moved to a nice tea market in central Beijing. See you in a show of tea and learn how to conduct your own tea ritual Kung Fu. Knowledge of tea, selection of teas, steeping and sipping will be explained. After a simple tea ceremony, you are free on their own in choosing your favorite tea, teapots and tea cups.
