What is Hutong Trip?

Hutong had its debut in Beijing in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). The name was gradually adopted by all the inhabitants of Beijing, and was transmitted to our days. The houses built on each side of Hutong are called Siheyuan (square), usually rectangular dwelling compounds, in which buildings on four sides. Almost every square is surrounded by high walls. In fact, Hutong is formed by quadrangles standing side by side in a row straight.

this is a nice Beijing tour. Gave me an opportunity to contact the local Beijingers. Half day is very easy for me. I can busy work in the morning, and then get on tricycle riding tourist Hutong alley. Inadequate is that it is not a very popular tourism, for those who traveled to Beijing tourists, or a good first went to visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City… so i mark it 4 stars.

TRAVEL ITINERARY:

Hotel pick-up, either in the morning (9.30 clock) or afternoon (1:30 Clock. The tour takes about 3 hours. First Rickshaw Ride takes you to visit Hutong alleys around the old hutong, and then tour local home where you can learn more about Beijing. Then go to the bell tower, built 700 years ago, where you give a panoramic view of the traditional parts of Beijing. Finally, you return to your hotel.
